The Wilmington Library will be housed for approximately a year-and-a-half in its new location until renovations on the former downtown facility at Rodney Square on 10th and Market Streets is completed. The library, in its 225th year of operation, is expected to reopen in early 2014 with an $11 million renovation. Meanwhile, the library will be housed in 22,700 square feet of space on the third floor of One Customs House at 704 N. King Street, just blocks away from its permanent home; therefore it will still be easily accessible by bus and is within walking distance to the train station and Wilmington’s Riverfront.
